The Fast Break Basketball Center is a state of the art basketball facility. It has two brand new basketball courts; featuring clinics, camps, leagues individual and group lessons, tournaments and other basketball related activities.

The mission of Fast Break is to serve and provide players of all ages and their families with the optimum basketball experience. Our staff is committed and will strive to meet the needs of all players, teams, coaches, organizations and parents that visit our facility. Fast Break will be dedicated and devoted to create and maintain a sense of community that will enable players to maximize their basketball potential, passion and ability.

Coach Joe O’Toole

Coach Joe O’Toole has been involved with youth basketball for over 15 years. His broad experience and expertise in basketball includes coaching the Staten Island Lightning’s AAU program (competed in the nationals); High School Basketball at Moore Catholic and Msgr. Farrell High School; served as president of St. Joseph / St. Thomas basketball for four years and today he continues to Coach AAU level with the “Fast Breakers” organization. Joe is the founder and President of the Pete noon P.S.8 summer basketball league since 1996. Joes Dream… having a state of the art basketball facility where all levels of Competition and instruction can be brought together in “our own backyard”. If developing your skills, having fun and understanding the game is your goal, then Joes teaching of Basketball is a must. Joes passion and commitment to fundamental teaching and structured approach is a MUST for all youth players.

Coach Tom Burns

Coach Burns has been a basketball coach at Brooklyn’s Xaverian High School for 20 years. He has a vast experience coaching on all high school levels; freshman, junior varsity and varsity. Tom is one of the finest instructors in the high school system. He has tirelessly expressed a sincere desire to prepare players for all levels of competition. Tom possesses a unique ability to persistently motivate players to improve their skills in all basketball related areas. He has dedicated himself as a coach to help players reach their full potential so that they can continue their pursuit on higher levels. Tom has an incredible passion for teaching players of all ages the proper fundamentals and techniques they need to help advance their game. He displays an endless amount of energy that has allowed him to work for and run many of his own basketball camps. Tom was the director of the Fast Break Basketball camp for 10 years; he ran the St. Joseph /St. Thomas Basketball Camp for the past 5 years. If developing your skills and an understanding of the game is your goal, then Tom’s approach to teaching basketball is a perfect fit.
